I am super excited for MBFWA this year. I am flying back from London especially for it. It’s chance to see Australia’s top designers showcase their new collections and see the trends for the coming season.

How important is it to have a perfectly planned outfit for the day? and what are your top tips on making sure you look your best for the day?

My top tip would be to be true to your style and personality. Whether your style is minimal, modern tailoring or feminine.

Whats your advice/tips for people attending the event for the first time?

For a blogger attending MBFWA for the first time, you really need to  understand why you’ve been invited to Fashion Week. As a blogger you’ve been invited to create awareness for the brands showing and the brands your wearing to during the week. Look at ways to create value for these brands throughout the entire week.

And network, network, network. And don’t be shy.

What’s the most exciting part about attending Fashion Week?

I am super excited for MBFWA this year. I am flying back from London especially for it. It’s chance to see Australia’s top designers showcase their new collections and see the trends for the coming season.

It’s also a chance to spend the week with my blogging friends. Some of my best friends, I have met through blogging… We are all just one big girl (and guy) gang supporting each other.

How do you prepare for fashion week in the week/s leading up to it?

I am in London at the moment, flying into Sydney the morning MBFWA starts. This makes my preparation in the lead up to this years MBFWA a little different to other years, and means I need to be super organised. This year all my preparations are via my laptop. For my outfit planning I firstly select from the brands lookbooks, then arranging these pieces to be sent to a address in Sydney ready for me pick up the morning I land. Arranging everything from London, has meant I’ve had to style my outfits using my laptop using screenshots of all the pieces I have selected then finished off the styling using notes mixing and matching my own pieces.

What are your fashion week essentials? What can’t you live without at fashion week?

Your portable phone charger (or a few) – don’t ever let your phone die.

Your camera and a spare memory card.

All your beauty must haves, for me I always carry my concelar, blush, eye brown pencil and my favourite Charlotte Tilbury lipstick (almost my whole make up bag haha).

And band aids!
