It’s so rewarding to see designers grow and share that with the world. Plus all the friendships you make is so great. It’s like a little family and once a year you get together and have the most outrageous fashion fun..

What does MBFW mean to you?

It is a fashion holiday! It means celebrating the amazing designers in Australia who create the clothes and trends we wear everyday.

What kind of networking happens across the event?

It’s a physical connection to the brands you talk with via email. So it’s great to cement your identity and your seriousness about the Australian fashion industry. Especially as a fashion influencer.

What is it like being backstage at a Fashion event?

I have been at Brisbane Fashion Festival and plenty of Brisbane runways with my job as a stylist and trust me there is many crazy and wonderful things that happen.

What was your favourite show last year? and which one are you most excited about attending this year?

Oh I loved Bec & Bridge and Daniel Avakian. I am so excited about Zhivago and Bec & Bridge this year – it’s going to be epic!

In your opinion what makes a show stand out from others?

Atmosphere is so important second to the designs of coarse. Nothing makes a show more magical than when the atmosphere & designs come together to create something extraordinary.

This is the time to bring out your loud and proud outfits. So letting loose your inner fashion goddess is the best idea! I look up inspiration and start sourcing my favourite looks.

What are your fashion week essentials? What can’t you live without at fashion week?

Laptop, camera, phone, water and re-charger. You have to capture ever moment!

How do you prepare for fashion week in the week/s leading up to it?

Just emailing a lot to secure hotels, tickets to shows, outfits and sponsorships. It’s a big task but a fun one!
